The agreement between you and Flashr. The short version: drive safely, obey the law, and treat our alerts as a helpful aid — not a guarantee.
Last updated June 15, 2026
Safety first. Flashr is a driver-assistance aid. It does not make driving safe, does not guarantee that every camera is shown, and is never a reason to break the speed limit or any other traffic law. You are always responsible for how you drive.
By creating an account or using the Flashr app or website, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Flashr.
Flashr provides an editorially-maintained map of publicly-known traffic-enforcement camera locations and alerts you as you approach them. The data comes from official open-data sources, community reports, and manual verification. We work hard to keep it accurate, but enforcement changes constantly and we make no guarantee that the information is complete, current, or error-free.
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Quebec residents under 14 require parental or guardian consent. The alerting features are intended for licensed drivers only.
When you submit a report, you confirm it's honest and accurate to the best of your knowledge. Don't submit false, misleading, or abusive content. We may weight, decay, remove, or ignore any report, and we may adjust reputation or restrict accounts that abuse the system.
Fixed-camera alerts are free. Flashr Pro is an optional paid subscription sold through the Apple App Store. Billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled by Apple under your App Store account and Apple's terms. Prices and included features may change with notice.
Flashr Pro renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. The full subscription price is displayed before purchase. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. We do not offer refunds outside of Apple's standard refund policy.
Flashr, its branding, software, and the compiled database are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose.
Flashr is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flashr is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any fines, penalties, lost data, collisions, or other losses arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
We may update these terms as Flashr evolves. We'll revise the "last updated" date and, for material changes, give more prominent notice. Continuing to use Flashr after changes means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Manitoba, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are misusing the service. You may delete your account at any time from within the app.
We encourage you to contact us at support@flashr.app before initiating any formal dispute. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be submitted to binding arbitration or small claims court in Manitoba, Canada, at our election, except where prohibited by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits, excludes, or modifies any right or remedy you may have under applicable provincial or federal consumer protection legislation that cannot be excluded or modified by agreement. In particular: Quebec residents retain all rights under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act and the Civil Code of Quebec, including the right to bring disputes before Quebec courts; Ontario residents retain all rights under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002. To the extent any clause in these Terms conflicts with your non-waivable statutory rights, your statutory rights prevail.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid in any jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
